- What the nutritional requirements to make a healthy baby
4. Movement – This includes
Preparation of health for both parents but also for birthing
5. Rhythms – This includes
- Coming off the Oral Contraceptive Pill and using alternative non chemical contraceptive methods. This step helps you to get to know your cycle also known as ‘Fertility Awareness”. If not on the Oral Contraceptive Pill applying contraceptive methods is vital so as you do not fall pregnant while in the Preconception Care phase.
- Fertility Awareness – getting to know your cycle and health and creating a healthy menstrual rhythm (Katie Singer – Honouring your cycles)
- Night lighting and the Sleep/Wake Rhythm
- Best time to conceive and other extras to increase chances of conception
- Addressing reproductive health problems: such as POS, endometriosis.
- Get in touch with the seasonal cycles.
6. Cleansing
- Cigarettes, alcohol and recreational, over the counter drugs. Possibly suing alternatives to medications. Coming off supplements and eating real whoel foods.
- Heavy metal, electromagnetic and environmental pollution (Chemicals in foods, environment: cleaning, beauty, home, and car).
- Genitourinary infections eg Candida and allergies
- Improving detoxifying capacity of the body
